TORONTO – June 12, 2018 – Envista Forensics, a global forensic and consulting company based out of Atlanta, welcomes Dwight Francis as Technical Lead, Electrical Engineering for their Toronto office.
Dwight has more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry and will lend his electrical system and investigation expertise to the Canada team.
“We could not be happier to welcome Dwight onboard,” said Scott Broad, Vice President of Forensic Consulting, Envista Forensics, Canada. “He has unique experience in that he has worked all sides of the electrical industry. From designing and implementing systems, to performing system failure and recovery efforts, Dwight has the ability to provide consultation in any matter, and that includes expert testimony for ongoing legal cases.”
Dwight joins Envista’s rapidly growing forensic consulting team in Canada. Supported by organic growth that has included the hiring of industry leaders such as Ron Koerth and Doris Marshall, as well as the acquisition of SAMAC Engineering earlier this year, Envista is now positioned as the leading provider of forensic engineering services in Canada.
“This is an exciting time to be with Envista,” said Dwight. “I was impressed with the breadth of projects they manage, along with their exciting growth trajectory. The experience and culture of their people is remarkable.”
Dwight’s experience started in the mining industry and industrial sector developing and managing implementation of complex electrical systems. “As a master electrician, Dwight understands estimates for proper repair and recovery,” said Broad. “He has a wealth of knowledge, and we know that level of familiarity will help our clients feel confident that what we deliver in our analysis is 100 percent accurate.”
Throughout Dwight’s career, he has been a part of numerous projects, some totaling in the millions in terms of loss. However, his favorite part of the job is helping a client, “come back to life,” as he says. “During a complex loss, the client is looking for answers. Being the person that can help them feel comfortable, and provide certainty, is a very rewarding part of my job.”
