Envista welcomes four new experts and engineers across the U.S. to our Civil/Structural, Fire, and Mechanical teams. We are excited about the growth in both personnel and divisional expertise with the addition of the following experts last month.
Meet Envista’s Newest Additions!
Matt Baker, P.E., S.E.
Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (Atlanta, GA)
Matt Baker is a licensed professional engineer and structural engineer with 5 1/2 years of experience in structural design. As a building design consultant, Matt has worked on projects across a wide range of building sectors and materials, including both new construction and building renovations. During this time, his primary responsibilities included the structural analysis and design of buildings to ensure safe and efficient structures.
Edward Clark, CFI, CFEI, CVFI
Principal Consultant, Fire (Los Angeles, CA)
Edward Clark is a licensed Private Investigator and IAAI and CCAI Certified Fire Investigator with more than 25 years of experience as an investigator, specializing in all aspects of residential, commercial, wildland, and vehicle fires. He has previously served as a fire service professional, Firefighter/Paramedic, Fire Investigator, and hazardous-materials specialist. Edward has been the principal investigator at over 1,500 fire investigations and involved in fire suppression activity on more than 3,500 fires of various types including structure, vegetation, vehicle, and flammable liquid fires.
Jake Hinkle
Project Consultant, Mechanical (Columbus, OH)
Jake Hinkle recently graduated from James Madison University, where he worked on a machine learning robot for identifying defects in railroad tracks as the object detection sub-team lead. Jake worked as a Mechanical Engineering intern with Envista this summer, gaining experience in forensic consulting methodology of fire scenes. Jake was offered a full-time position with Envista as a Project Consultant, where he will work alongside Mechanical Engineers and work towards his P.E. license.
George Wells, NAFI-CFEI/CCAI-CFI
Principal Consultant, Fire (Lockeford, CA)
George Wells has been in the field of firefighting and fire investigation for 21 years. As a certified fire and explosion investigator, George has investigated approximately 600 fires of all types to determine the origin and cause and general fire behavior. He has been utilized as an expert for fire cause determination, flame and smoke spread, fire behavior, and general code compliance in death, injury, and product liability subrogation claims.
