Dharinee (Dee) is a Project Engineer for the Civil/Structural division, where she identifies, analyzes and remediates damages resulting from structural or building defects, and insurable events such as fires, storms, vehicle impacts, and other natural disasters.
What do you do at Envista?
I use my extensive industry experience to identify, analyze, and remediate damages resulting from structural or building defects, and insurable events such as fires, storms, vehicle impacts, and other natural disasters. I also assess the structural condition of as-built structures, such as retaining walls, basements, and apartment buildings, and rehabilitation of existing structural assets. I provide consultation, acting as an expert witness in the court of law serving the insurance/legal industries, to present and support engineering investigation reports.
Before you joined Envista, what were you doing?
I started my career as a structural design engineer, providing engineering designs and drawings for RC structures, towers, girders, indoor and outdoor substation equipment, and pre-engineered buildings. I then moved to forensic engineering assessments of building distress from cracking and movement-related damages due to insurable events.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I am provided with opportunities to accomplish something helpful and make a difference.

Assisting people in achieving a fundamental need by planning, constructing, and inspecting a place they call home.
