In May, our North American and Australian teams continued to grow with the addition of nine new experts. Two Building Consulting experts joined in Australia, six joined us in the United States, and one in Canada. Learn more about our newest experts, both personally and professionally.
Meet Envista’s Newest Additions!
John Aniello, CFEI, CFI, Master Electrician
Principal Consultant, Fire & Explosion (New York, NY)
John Aniello is a Principal Consultant with over 20 years of experience in fire service, and expertise in fire, arson, and explosion investigation. His areas of expertise include investigative analysis, fire behavior in structural buildings, fire science and relation to fire behavior, firefighting strategy and tactics, technical rescue and hazardous materials incident response, building construction, components, and model codes, as well as residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems design, installation, and troubleshooting.
Fun Fact: One of the biggest challenges I've faced was transitioning from the public sector to the private sector, but I am looking forward to learning more about Envista, building a professional network, and getting involved with large, complex cases which require extensive thought and processing.
Micah Baker, PE
Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (Atlanta, GA)
Micah Baker is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is proficient in various software including Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, and has a solid understanding of industry standards and codes such as IBC, AISC, and ACI. He also has experience designing structures for military bases and industrial projects.
Fun Fact: As a child, I wanted to be an engineer (nothing specific within engineering was desired/known at that time). Now, the most rewarding aspect of my line of work is being able to solve complex problems and answer difficult questions that would otherwise not be solvable.
Luis Boothby, EI, MSCE
Senior Project Consultant, Civil/Structural (Tampa, FL)
Luis Boothby is a Senior Project Consultant with more than seven years of experience in forensic investigations to determine the cause and origin of structural and utility failures, concrete damages/defects, and repair. He also investigates and assesses damage due to catastrophes such as windstorm damage, hail damage, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, fires, and sinkholes and has performed Building Recertification (Structurally and Electrically) according to the guidelines of the Florida Building Safety Inspection Program.
Fun Fact: At Envista, I look forward to continuing to learn and expand my knowledge of simple and complex engineering investigations.
Brooke Morgan, Cert IVBldg&Constrctn, AdvDip.Bldg&Constrctn, Licensed Builder
Senior Building Consultant, Building Consulting (Sydney, Australia)
Brooke Morgan is a Senior Building Consultant with over two decades of experience working and developing expertise within the insurance and construction industries. He is highly skilled in negotiation, budgeting, contractors, project estimation, team building, and supply management. A strong business development professional with a diploma in building (project management) and an advanced diploma in building surveying, Brooke also specializes in high-level residential and commercial construction management.
Luke Osborne
Building Consultant, Building Consulting (Sydney, Australia)
Luke Osborne is an accomplished construction supervisor with two decades of experience working on large-scale, complex commercial and residential projects. Utilizing his specialized construction skills, and trade qualifications he has successfully overseen projects from the diagnostic/specification and scoping phase to final deliverables, including landmark heritage projects. His expertise includes façade defect diagnostics, high-level reporting, and remediation, particularly on difficult-to-access buildings along with field experience and supervision of all relevant trades.
Eric Pinto, PE
Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (Charleston, SC)
Eric Pinto is a Professional Engineer with more than 17 years of experience, starting as a residential framer and construction worker to becoming a drafter at a small structural firm in downtown Charleston. His experience includes structural construction document production, forensic investigation (diagnosis of ongoing structural issues in both historic, modern buildings, sea walls and marine structures) renovation of historic buildings, design and construction management of commercial and residential buildings and design and construction of coastal structures.
Fun Fact: I learned how to fly at a young age.
Tristan Pyzynski
Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Chicago, IL)
Tristan Pyzynski is a Fire Consultant with a degree in fire, arson, and explosion investigation from Eastern Kentucky University. His areas of expertise include fire prevention, behavior, building construction, emergency scene operations, human behavior in fire emergencies, and technical report writing. Additionally, he has completed specialized training in fire and explosion investigation methodologies, evidence collection, and legal procedures and also served with the Keener Township Volunteer Fire Department, responding to various emergencies, and completing an internship with the Wichita Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit, where he gained hands-on experience in scene investigations, evidence collection, and case reviews.
Fun Fact: When I was a child, I wanted to be a chaplain.
Michael Roess, CFEI, CFII, CVFI, CCFI
Senior Project Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Toronto, ON)
Michael Roess is a Senior Project Consultant with extensive experience in fire prevention, forensic investigations, and protection systems. Michael has a rich background in the fire service and the educational system, holding positions such as Deputy Chief, Senior Fire Prevention Officer, Chief Fire Prevention Officer, and college professor. He has personally investigated over 2500 fires. In addition, he is serving as a Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention for the Town of North Huron and Huron East Fire Departments.
Fun Fact: The most rewarding aspect of my line of work is the challenge of each assignment and the satisfaction of discovering the solution.
Anthony Tyler, CFEI
Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Houston, TX)
Anthony Tyler is a Forensic Fire and Explosion Investigator with over 17 years of experience in law enforcement and fire/explosion investigations. He specializes in arson and explosives investigation and is knowledgeable in fire science, explosive chemistry, and explosive device construction, concealment, and recognition, with extensive experience working with various municipalities, agencies, and task forces as a police officer, investigator, and lead detective. He is also a certified Peace Officer in Massachusetts, a Master Peace Officer in Texas, a certified TCOLE Instructor and Firearms Instructor, a Certified Fire and Arson Investigator, Fire Inspector, Fire Plans Examiner, and Fire and Life Safety Educator in Texas, as well as a Fire and Explosion Investigator from the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).
Fun Fact: My hidden talent is that I'm an accomplished musician and pistol shooter.
