In March, Envista welcomed five new experts in the United States; two in Atlanta, two in Chicago, and one in Portland. Three of these experts joined our Mechanical group, one joined our Electrical group, and one joined our Fire group. Brian Adcock, CFI(V), CFEI
Fire Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Chicago, IL)
Brian Adcock, an accomplished Fire Consultant and law enforcement professional with over 20 years of experience, has an array of expertise in public service, safety, fire prevention, and investigations. He specializes in fire investigation, training, and education, having trained and certified numerous fire investigators and fire service personnel. Brian’s diverse background includes experience in law enforcement, firefighting, and arson investigation across multiple police departments and fire departments in the Chicago area. He holds a Master of Science in Arson and Explosives Investigation from Oklahoma State University and various certifications in fire investigation, arson investigation, and law enforcement, and is an active member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators.
Fun Fact: At Envista, I look forward to resolving fire-related concerns, whether they are accidental or involve a safety recall or issue.
Dariusz Bunda, C.E.M.
Senior Project Consultant, Electrical (Chicago, IL)
Dariusz Bunda is a seasoned electrical engineer with 15 years of experience. He has a background in research, project management, and innovative green technology development to tackle energy sustainability challenges. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Dariusz is also currently pursuing his Professional Engineer (PE) license. He has expertise in designing electrical systems for diverse laboratory and process applications, control systems design, project engineering, and energy efficiency optimization. He also specializes in the execution and management of electrical engineering projects across various sectors, including refineries, petrochemical facilities, and scientific research institutions.
Fun Fact: As a child, I aspired to be either a marine biologist at SeaWorld or a starting goalie for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Derek Grant, E.I.T.
Project Consultant, Mechanical (Atlanta, GA)
Derek Grant, a Project Consultant with six years of experience in mechanical engineering, offers a wealth of expertise in mechanical system design, project management, and client collaboration. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering and Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Mechanical EIT license and proficiency in industry-standard software like Revit and AutoCAD. Derek has led the design of HVAC systems and coordinated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Fun Fact: I love playing sports, and continue to play rugby for a team in Atlanta. We play across the southeast and compete in a national championship playoff each spring.
Eric Crabtree, PhD, PE
Regional Technical Leader – South, Mechanical (Atlanta, GA)
Eric Crabtree is a Regional Technical Leader with over 25 years of experience in mechanical engineering. He has served as a design engineering project manager with design, construction oversight, startup, and operations expertise. His experience includes commercial power, refinery specialty chemicals, offshore oil and gas, industrial water and wastewater, pulp and paper, and consumer products.
Fun Fact: One of the biggest challenges I've faced as an engineer was determining the cause of failure of a critical pump seal at a power plant designed to last about 10 years that failed after 1 year. This allowed me to delve into water chemistry, metallurgy, chemical compatibility, micromachining techniques using fempto-lasers, hydrodynamic lift between rotating faces, and more.
Kalin Hollingbery, PE
Project Engineer, Mechanical (Portland, OR)
Kalin Hollingbery is a dynamic Project Engineer with extensive experience in mechanical and plumbing system projects, from design development to construction administration and commissioning. Proficient in industry-standard software like Revit, Autocad, and BluBeam, he effectively communicates complex mechanical and plumbing system information and collaborates with diverse teams to meet project objectives within budget and time constraints. With expertise in MEP coordination, energy analysis, and HVAC controls, Kalin has a proven track record in engineering calculations, equipment selection, and construction verification. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) with OSBEELS.
Fun Fact: As a kid, I aspired to be an NFL Quarterback.
