Austin Cudworth
Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (Seattle, WA)
Austin Cudworth is a licensed Professional Engineer based in the Puget Sound region with over eight years of experience. Before transitioning to forensics, Austin excelled as a consulting design engineer and project manager, working on a diverse range of new build and renovation projects in the commercial, industrial, and federal/DoD sectors. His involvement in these varied projects has given him a strong background in many building systems, materials, construction, and delivery methods.
Fun Fact: I am a sneaky-good at the game of foosball.
Brian Schenk, IAAI-CFI, NAFI-CFEI
Senior Consultant, Fire & Explosion (Seattle, WA)
Brian Schenk is a Senior Consultant with over 40 years of experience in fire investigation. He is a licensed Private Investigator in Washington and Oregon, and a Private Detective in Anchorage, AK. Brian is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress, and National Association of Fire Investigators. His extensive career began with his service as an EMT at the Dalles Fire Department where he earned the highest score on his EMT I final, as well as the highest EMT II state exam. Brian has also provided expert witness testimony in six court cases and given one deposition thus far.
Fun Fact: I can accidentally drop something and catch it before it hits the ground, but only if my brain says it is safe to do so.
Cameron MacDonald
Senior Building Consultant, Construction (Melbourne, AUS)
Cameron MacDonald is a Senior Building Consultant with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He specializes in post-event damage analysis and reconstruction in commercial as well as residential structures.
Fun Fact: I don't have a fingerprint on my little finger.
Jacqueline Malik
Project Consultant, Environmental (Toronto, ON)
Jacqueline Malik is a Project Consultant who specializes in industrial hygiene and environmental engineering. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Windsor with a focus on geotechnical engineering, hydrology, and wastewater treatment. She is proficient in AutoCAD, AERMOD, and HY-8 software and possesses native, and bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Fun Fact: My elementary and high school educations were entirely in French.
Jesse Cooper, PE
Project Engineer, Civil/Structural (New York, NY)
Jesse Cooper is a Project Engineer with eleven years of experience as a structural engineer. He also possesses in-depth structural knowledge in nearly all building industries, materials, and components. He has worked on over 165 structural projects in the greater New York City area and throughout the Northeast, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey.
Fun Fact: My hidden talent is voice-overs and voice impersonations.
Ken Simons, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE
Principal Engineer, Civil/Structural (Seattle, WA)
Ken Simons is a Principal Engineer with over 35 years of civil/structural experience. A licensed Professional Engineer, he has extensive experience investigating partial or total collapses due to fire, storms, flooding, ground movement, and vehicle impacts, as well as damages resulting from water infiltration, roof leakage, and construction defects. He has provided remedial repair recommendations and analysis of code upgrade requirements in apartment and condominium complexes, industrial warehouses, commercial buildings, athletic stadiums, and parking structures. Ken earned his doctorate in civil/structural engineering and is also an experienced expert witness who has provided litigation support and expert witness testimony on many cases that have progressed to arbitration, appraisal, and trial.
Fun Fact: I am a Knight of St. Pat from the University of Illinois College of Engineering.
