Envista Forensics Expands Fire Division in the UK and Europe
LONDON - Jan. 18, 2019 - Envista Forensics, a global, multidisciplinary forensic consulting firm, announced today that they have expanded their Fire & Explosion Investigation division in the UK and Europe. Since 2009, Envista has provided leading forensic consulting services to Europe’s preeminent insurers, loss adjusters and legal professionals. With this service line expansion and their long-established suite of capabilities, including electrical/mechanical, equipment loss, civil/structural and digital forensics practices, Envista is uniquely positioned to provide full-service engineering and consultancy for complex loss investigations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In conjunction with the service line expansion, Envista is also pleased to announce that Larry Canary has joined their London team as Vice President, Fire & Explosion. Prior to joining the London operation, Mr. Canary led the Western U.S. Division of Envista’s industry-leading Fire & Explosion unit. A seasoned fire investigator with more than three decades of experience, both in public and private sectors, he has managed thousands of fire scenes, including several significant loss investigations, and been an expert witness in local and federal courts. Licensed as a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress and a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI) by the National Association of Fire Investigators, Mr. Canary holds degrees in Fire Science and Criminal Justice, and has led complex fire investigations following incidents involving energy production facilities, food processing plants and natural CAT disasters, such as wildfires.
In his capacity as a senior investigator, he is also National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) certified, and has extensive knowledge of safety codes and regulations, as well as a teaching and training background, to both promote and educate the industry on relevant industry standards.
