Digital Forensic Expert, Jake Green, Helping Set World Records for a Good Cause!
During National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month this past July, Smile Train, the world's leading cleft-focused organization, achieved their first Guinness World Record® title for the largest online photo album of smiling mouths.
A supporter and advocate for Smile Train, Jake Green, Technical Lead of Digital Forensics at Envista, played a pivotal role in helping Smile Train achieve their world record. Green shared, “I wholeheartedly support Smile Train's mission to deliver high-quality services to children and patients worldwide and firmly believe our efforts will significantly enhance their mission.”
Green used his digital forensics expertise to verify the authenticity of all 21,274 smiles submitted and used in Smile Train’s award-winning photo album. His expertise in photo verification ensured that all submitted smiles met the stringent criteria set by Guinness World Records.
Donating hours of his time, Green utilized Envista’s high-tech digital forensics tools to assist in the world record authentication. “Envista's utilization of cutting-edge technology left no doubt in Guinness World Record's mind that Smile Train has amassed an unparalleled collection of photos that can't be matched in the digital realm,” Green expressed. “I am confident that their album will continue to flourish, and I eagerly anticipate more opportunities to bolster Smile Train's efforts in the future.”
On October 6, 2023, Guinness World Records formally verified the results, bestowing Smile Train with an Official Record Holder certificate. To make the recognition for Smile Train even sweeter, the news of verification was delivered on World Smile Day!
