Robert has investigated more than 1000 fires, in both the public and private sectors, providing origin & cause investigations following complex commercial, industrial, vehicle, and residential fires. Mr. Howarth is a Certified Fire Investigator, with Vehicle Fire endorsement, (IAAI-CFI(V)) Certified Fire Investigator. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire, Arson and Explosion Investigation from Eastern Kentucky University.
An accomplished speaker and published author, he has presented at Firehouse Expo, the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the National Fire Academy on Fire Investigation, Community Risk Reduction, Residential Sprinkler Advocacy, Hazardous Materials and Explosive Devices.
